August and Copper Leg Art Residency are savoring the last bits of summer with artist Sandra Ernits.
Sandra Ernits is an Estonian sculptor and installation artist based in Tallinn and Laagri. We are very inspired and happy to witness the winner of the Young Sculptor Award 2024 in action.
“The purpose of the Young Sculptor Award and the accompanying exhibition, which has been awarded since 2012, is to highlight and recognize the professional activities of young artists working in sculpture and installation.”
The competition and exhibition are organized by the EKA (Estonian Academy of Arts) Installation and Sculpture Department and welcome participants from all fine arts students of EKA.
Since 2021, the Copper Leg Art Residency has had the honor of supporting the winner with a month-long residency stay.

16:00-18:00 Avatud uste päev Vaskjala Loomeresidentuuris.
Toimub Sandra Ernitsi loomingu esitlus.
August ja Vaskjala Loomeresidentuur naudivad suve viimaseid hetki koos kunstniku Sandra Ernitsaga.
Sandra Ernits on Tallinnas ja Laagris tegutsev Eesti skulptor ja installatsioonikunstnik. Oleme väga inspireeritud ja õnnelikud, et saame tunnistada Noore Skulptori Preemia 2024 võitjat tegevuses.
“Noore Skulptori Preemia ja sellega kaasneva näituse eesmärk, mida antakse välja alates 2012. aastast, on tõsta esile ja tunnustada noorte skulptuuri ja installatsiooniga tegelevate kunstnike professionaalset tegevust.”
Konkurssi ja näitust korraldab Eesti Kunstiakadeemia (EKA) installatsiooni ja skulptuuri osakond ning oodatud on kõik EKA vabade kunstide üliõpilased.
Alates 2021. aastast on Vaskjala Loomeresidentuur olnud au toetada võitjat kuuajase residentuuriga.
