Before a residency at Copper Leg, all residents must be familiar with the house rules so everyone can have a pleasant experience and safe working environment. Please have a look at the document below.
1. Welcome
Copper Leg Art Residency is a live-in, multidisciplinary residency, a place where artists from different practices share a building, exchange ideas, and work. We want every resident to feel at home here and to leave having made work they’re proud of.
These guidelines exist to make that possible for everyone. If anything is unclear, reach out to the Residency Coordinator directly.
2. Community & Conduct
Residents are expected to treat each other, the locals, and the building itself with respect. This residency brings together people from different backgrounds and disciplines, and that diversity is something we actively protect.
– Harassment or discrimination of any kind, based on gender, race, nationality, religion, sexuality, disability, artistic practice, or any other basis will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the residency.
– Disputes between residents should be raised with the Residency Coordinator in writing.
– By accepting a place at Copper Leg, residents agree to abide by these guidelines in full. Serious or repeated breaches are grounds for early termination.
3. The Building & Shared Spaces
3.1 The Building
A family resides permanently in one wing of the building. Residents are expected to always be mindful of this, particularly regarding noise, outdoor activities, and general conduct. The family’s private areas are entirely off-limits. The boundaries will be shown by the coordinator upon arrival.
